I would like to know what is the best video card to upgrade to. I can only spend 100-120 USD. I only have regular pci slots. 2.8 celeron, 512 ram, am currently using 64 geoforce 400 card. maybe the 9250 radeon. any input would be appreciated.

ive seen pi versions of the 5700le's and those run for about 70usd. Or if you an find anything higher than that that would be the best on nvidia's line. On ati's if you can find a 9550 pro in pci form, get that or if you can find a 9600pro or above that ould be good. Keep in mind, the 9550pro is better than the whole 9600 line. For ati dont get anything with se on its name, or anything lower thatn the 9550pro. On Nvidias line dont get anything lower than a 5700 casue they really suk. A 5800 or above in nvidiaas side would be the prefered

edit: this is the best on newegg a little more than i expeted, but a good card.

You don't even have an AGP card slot? Pretty crazy.

nvidia fx 5700,5900 i would suggest shelling out a little more though and getting a nvidia 6600 128bit,256 ddr3 ram but i think its only pci-e it probably comes in pci though

um no it doesnt... i found the most powerful pci card that most normal vendors now sell. There would be no point to making a 6600 video card, its and old medium.

so what is this card then smarty pants ( um thats odd you think they would make a pci/agp version of the card.

6600 aint old ethier i got one in my rig and plays just as good as my friends 6800 ultra

i didnt say a 6600 is old, but i know for a fact it doesnt play as good as the 6800 ultra. What i said is that pci is an old slot and no cards from this generation are pci, only about half of last generations had pci versions, and the 57100le is the best i could find, and im not a smarty pants, you just dont know what your talking about.

the ONLY way a 6600 could possibly beat a 6800 ultra is if the ultra is running on a 4x agp slot and a really crappy proc like an xp1700. Im done, i just thought someone giving advice, would atleast not have been in a cave for the past year or two.
