Who is lining up to get GTA4?

It get's released on Monday (going into tuesday) at midnight. I am picking up my copy Tuesday afternoon.

If I had a PS3 I would've preordered it the first chance I got... but I don't have anything that'll run it so I can't yet, lol. I'll probably just wait until a) I get a PS3 or b) it comes out for PC.

When GTA3 came out, I felt they became a bit too graphic and adult. The overhead gameplay style really appealed to me in the first two, and they were cartoonie. Three and four are just too much for me.

iv got mine sorted for tomorrow, i cant wait for it. im really interested in the graphical and gameplay side of it.. im sure after seeing saints row for the 360 the gta lads have to bring out some good stuff as it is kinda there thing.. o and also multiplayer. interesting aspect

ps. it seems that the gta buzz has dyed in alot of people. who iv talked to there no way pumped for it as i am.. saying its the same old same old. but meh.

I just got it 3 hours ago and have played non-stop (I have now to let the 360 cool down,pop-up was getting a bit more common than I like). So yeah, on the 360 there is pop-up. Nothing terrible, if you've played previous GTA's you know what to expect. 3 hours into the game, that is the ONLY complaint I can make.
It's also damn funny, much funnier than SA or VC imo. Already I have properly laughed, not just chuckling to myself, 5 or 6 times at both the script (which is fantastic btw) and in game events. Example, I carjacked some guy but he kept holding on to the door handle, which is cool enough. But then I swerved in towards a parked car, and swerved away again so the guy swung in and hit the parked car head on! I nearly cried laughing.

I could go on, but you get the drift. This game is GOOD. Believe the hype.

Man, I really do want this game... too bad I don't have a system to play it on... stupid expenses (saving up for a car and college, it's hard work these days).

I just picked up my copy for 360 like an hour ago at 2pm. I can't play it though untill my Bday may 27. Pointy_Stick did you get that bonus disc thingy? I thought the clerk had given me two copies for a minute there.

im going to get mine in a few hours and then wait after uni to play :) iv got a long week ahead of doing nothing so bring it on :P

i like the hole hanging on the car thing. and thats exacly the stuff what im waiting for, yeah its gonna be like other gtas because thats generally the point to a game, but a new platform, next gen gaming havent done one for god knows how long, im at the point were im gonna pee

Yeah Simon, I got the extra dvd case, because that's all it is, an empty case that contains a voucher for 500 MS points and another for the GTA IV gamerpics. I was really disappointed by that. Seems a bit wasteful, a whole dvd case for 2 pieces of cardboard.

But I'm not complaining. If I wanted extra crap I should of preordered the special edition. The game alone is pretty special as it is.

I think the best apsect of this game will be the multiplayer... I know im down for 8vs8 cops and robbers. (assuming 8v8 by the 16 player play limit) Or even better, 16 player freerome. I would love to just wander around the city w/ sixteen of my friends just screwing off. To bad i don't have 16 friends... or this game.

Same, same, and same. I wonder if online multiplayer is separated by console or not... probably is though. I want a PS3 but the few friends I have all have 360s.

Edit: but then again... shadow run was crossplatform between 360 and PC and no one cared. Plus they gimped PC so that console peeps w/ controlers would still stand a chance. But thats another flame war for another day.

I'm not gonna be able to get one any time soon but if Crysis has multiplayer Co-Op or multiplayer period I'll possibly get a PS3... but if it doesn't haev either then no deal. Although it does seem to have some interesting party games on it for when hanging out with friends and there's nothing else to do.

This is the first gta game that i haven't been waiting to get. I don't have any new generation consoles! :(

I think i might get a 360 for my birthday this Tuesday. So hopefully I'll have gta4 in my hands soon.

Yeah I heard about that the PS3 version freezes just after loading and I think some 360's are effected to.

I have it, no problems, crysis on ps3 will suck the pc game play wasn't the focus it was the graphics, -that it will not be very good, thats the only reason anyone ever heard of it was the fx

You're prolly right about Crysis for PS3... I may not even buy a console, lol. I'm trying to think of what else I get that'll run me about $600 that's fun. Hell, I just bought a pellet gun with stuff for it for like $180 and that should provide me with hours of entertainment, lol.
