As a cyclist who rides in the road...

America needs more stuff like this. I almost got ran down one night. And yes, I had lights on. ****sux.

I rode my bike across town one day, only almost got hit once. A few people were getting pissed off at me but nobody tried to run me over. I believe it is legal in NC to ride your bike on the road, just not exactly practical on main roads.

you know...people just dont pay attention as they should when driving... whether youre a cyclist or not...

I think most people look for cars... I watch for any movement or anything in the road. If I were to hit a cyclist due to not paying attention it'd look really, really bad... and be bad for everyone involved. Sadly, most people hate bikers for some reason.

Moonwalking bear. Nice add campagin. I counted correctly. I only think we are suspose to ride on the roads here to but at night I ride on the foot path as it is safer even with lights on my bike.

as a motorbike driver and a car drive i understand the inportance of looking for bikes, and the ad is very true. there are some.. cant explain the type of peoples but there generally bad.

my next door fella pulled out of a side road and a motor bike went in the side of the car, left a huge dint. me personally was in a small crash when on my bike on a roundabout because the fella entered the roundabout just that i was in the way at the time. that car took the bike from under me and i ended up on his bonit. his excuse was that he didnt see me. luckley i left with only bused rips and arse.

but yeah drivers should always take that extra second to look for bikes push or motor

Something to guarantee everybody sees you, wear a cheap fluro pink shirt over your riding gear.... if they can't see you, they're colour blind.

and if they hit you, its because they dont like pink

You could use green. Ultra green. And reflectors.

My theory is that you have to in the mindset that every car on the road doesn't see you, and you should always stay out of people's blind spots, because they don't look when changing lanes (and if they do, there's a good chance they won't see you.)
