Hey everybody

For some reason on one of my computers there is 8gig in the installer folder in the WINDOWS directory which I cant understand at all does because i know there isnt meant to be that much in their especially seen as though it has half the number of programmes as my other machine which has no where near that. They are both Windows XP service pack 2 and as far im aware they are both updated

Anyone know why this is the case and what I can do to get my disk space back

the windows folder itself or a folder within the windows folder.

theres a PC health folder that holds windows XP files that can be deleted to save space, its basicly a copy of the windows cd you used to install

It might contain a backup of pre SP2 and restore points... Just a thought.
To check, go to add/remove programs and see if sp2 is listed.

windows... bloat... <shocked>never</shocked>

Yeah it is either going to be a duplicate of the install CD, restore points, or both.

Sometimes the windows updates are stored in there for re-installation later if needed.
