Just got back from this a bit ago and have to say beat out my expectations. It was really well balanced when it came to action, humor, seriousness. This is a movie to see this summer.
The opening previews have the new Batman preview in there too. Wow, I can see why Heath Ledger had issues sleeping after trying so hard to capture the sheer insanity of the Joker.
Anyway back on subject, 2 words:
SEE IT!
Now I just wish I had the dough for an Iron Man themed case because I have so many ideas in the noodle right now.

Yeah I saw it two days ago and it was awesome! Also stay after the credits there is a quick little clip that Iron Man fans will love. I felt is was really a step above all the other super hero films. I would recommend it to all.

You really can't beat that combination of actors--all of them are serious pros who were allowed to really shine in this film, rather than be locked down to the typical comicbook catch phrases and Hollywood scripting. The director simply let the actors...act...

Your right it was really well balanced. I skipped out school with a freind to go see it yesterday... We had to go back to the mall and we both said that we wanted to watch it again. I was close to asking if he did want to go see it again. Anyway I Recommend It!

I saw it yesterday! B-day movie for me lol. Awesome. Freaking awesome. All I can say is that the comic book movies are getting better and better.
Again if you see it, wait till the credits are over. We were the only ones left in our theater to see it as everyone left.
Batman looks awesome, and the movie I am waiting for is The Incredible Hulk. Looks SOOOOOOO much better then the other one. Edward Norton looks like he fills the role amazingly in the trailers (Then again I am partially biased as he is one of my FAVORITE actors, if not my top favorite).
In Summary:
Iron Man == Awesome! Go see it if you enjoy comic book movies.
Batman looks awesome!
The Incredible Hulk looks ,well, Incredible.

Apparently, Tony Stark appears in the next Hulk Movie.
The last few superhero movies I have seen have really sucked, so I'm not sure if I'm gonna see this one. You said something is after the credits?

Ya something is after the credits. I don't want to spoil what it is for other people though, but I will say it has something to do with Tony Stark (Iron Man), SHIELD, and Samuel L. Jackson ;)

I heard jackson was going to be playing Fury because in the comics he was originally African American. But now I'm bummed I didn't wait for the end of the credits:( Oh well It will hit DVD in 3 months so I can get it and watch then.

LOL. I was cracking Ewok jokes throughout a couple scenes, and at the end several people near me said stuff along the lines of "oh ****, it's Morpheus!"

I saw it last night, it was a pretty good flick but I don't get what all the fuss is about. It wasn't AMAZING, it was lots of good CGI and average acting.

I may be a bit biased by my love of all things Iron Man. ;). I went through my old ass toys yesterday to find him and put him on my desk. Now I think I will finally have another go at Marvel: Ultimate Alliance lmao.

I got to go to a midnight showing and it was totally worth it. My group didn't want to stay through the credits, though. I already wanted to go see it again and now I have a better reason. I agree with Bopher: This a must see movie for the summer.

I took a long lunch today to go see it when the theaters aren't so crowded, plus it guarantee's a good seat. :D
I absolutely loved it! I am an Ironman fan, and they really put it together right! I don't think they could have cast it any better.
The other thing I think is really cool, is the fact this is Marvel Studios first film! The other Marvel movies have been outsourced to other companies such Sony for Spiderman. This time they did it all themselves and had complete control over everything. I think the last number I heard was $200+ million world wide, not too bad for their first solo venture!

I'm planning on seeing Iron Man sometime in the next couple of days, it looks great and I'm anxiously awaiting some other comic movies (Batman and The Incredible Hulk). I'm very VERY glad Marvel has taken the reins back on their intellectual property. I'm also 50/50 on the new Indiana Jones movie. I LOVE Indiana Jones, and am definitely taking the opportunity to get the trilogy on DVD (check your stores, they're sellin em dirt cheap I got all 3 at Best Buy for 10 bucks!). There's also a direct to DVD release coming soon of Machete by Robert Rodriguez (it was one of the fake movie trailers on Grindhouse). What other movies are you guys in for this summer?

Indiana Jones is on my list along with the new Batman. Incredible Hulk should be good too. But I think I was one of the few who didn't hate Hulk. I want to see Indiana Jones because 1) they've been great movies 2) Spielberg went with classic stunts instead of CGI for everything so its more real to me anyway.
On that note though you really can't easily tell in Iron Man where the costumes end and CGI takes over on any of the shots. And I thought FF7: Advent Children and FF: Spirits Within were good CGI when I saw those.

If they can do stunts in camera, it's cooler. That's just how it is. Action movies lately that are just 90% CGI with some terrible acting thrown in aren't my cup of tea. It's like a next gen video game that you play just because it looks pretty- it is fun for a while, but ultimately forgettable.
Transformers, although it had amazing effects, will not be a movie that you break out the DVD of 10 years later to show your kids because it is so awesome.
Sure, it helps, but a movie needs real meat. I have yet to see ironman, but from what I have heard from my friends, it's a really good movie that lives up to the hype. Maybe it will be the first truly unforgettable superhero movie?

I saw it again for the second time pretty cool. You notice a lot more of the little details. For example a lot of the cars in the film are Audi's.

It was preddy good.
Some of the lines were cheesy, but other than that a hell of a show.
Has anyone played the game?

I rented the game for the Wii. Pretty good. I don't know about the other systems but the flight system took some time to get used to. Other than that it was pretty good. I think the only thing I didn't like about it was you have energy you could reinforce to weapons, armor and flight and you could change the balance. But if you took too much damage you'd need to 'restart' you heart. In the movie you see Iron Man take so much damage and just shrug it off.

I know I'm a little behind the times here, but I finally got to see the movie tonight. And let me tell you, I loved it!!! On the way home, my gears started turning about making a case based on the movie. I know there was one mod that someone did that IMO doesn't look that good, here is the link.

but has anyone done anything worth while based on it?

Unknown of that one. I was thinking about a case as well but I have to much right now to even start designing. I was watching rick my Truck tonight and they did a pretty nice truck in the Ironman theme.

No way?? I went and saw it last night too! Haha, yep, we're pretty much awesome. We know that we can get the best seats in the house if we wait for the crowds to die down. ;)
...actually I just didn't have any money until now. It cost me 20 dollars to see this movie, but it was worth it. ^_^
Your right by the way, it would look better if you built it. ;)
