Depending on if it's in the list of supported motherboards, you can download MBM5 (http://mbm.livewiredev.com/) (motherboard monitor) which will show you the CPU temp (as well as a load of other info such as fan speeds, northbridge temps, voltage levels etc. Even if it isn't formally supported a little messing around can usually get it working....

As for help with the mod - you need to give us at least an idea of what you want to achieve - is there a theme in mind? A game or something you want to make the PC representative of.

Once we have some info, we'll do our best to help - as I saw posted on another thread somewhere, "The people here are better than anyone at tearing apart your ideas and putting them back together even better" or something similar lol

well the basic idea is silent speed
i want to take this old compaq deskpro case to the max
i want it to kinda look like the stealth fighter and to have the plexi panel in the side stay where it is and have it work with the stealth theme
the other part of the idea is to have the silent speed thing work out
i want it quite ande fast
im not running on much roight now but once i get some money i will have lots more
like i said i getting the ati saphire 128mb and i hope to upgrade the mobo and processor but for now i just need to figure out better ways to cool it cuz the overclocking might burn it out

sorry for the spelling mistakes im kinda tired
but i got some of it to work
ok the info is my cpu u is running a temp of 34 C wich i think ins pretty good for a pc with out to much for cooling

another thing i heard that u could use ducting to direct air for cooling i heard flexi metal hose works good but my friend said pvc plumbing pipes would work better cu the fit would be better and air tight

Anopther program you can look at using is SpeedFan. I use it to monitor my HDD temp, CPU temp and my fan speeds. It should be supported with all motherboards. It supports my laptop and my desktop PC......

15 feet away
in a different room

You need a fan bus, a group of controls that adjust the fan speeds so their not as loud, but when your really running hard you can turn them on full bore!

There are sevral companies that make fan buses that take a 5 1/4"bay. Or you can hit google and find a site that will teach you haow to make on of your own
Here's a site on how to build a PWM Fan Speed Controller (http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2001/12/03/pwm_fan_controller/1.html) Here's one On Building a Rehostat controlled (http://www.caseetc.com/cgi-bin/caseetc/rheostat.html?id=sgpGzuUf) one. THere's quite a few site that cover this check them out, depending on your skill level you maybe better of buying one.

and whys its say fresh paint

Unless you've got a motherboard I've not used before you can't control fan speeds with software (except for Laptops). I'm sure there's a motherboard out there that can do this I'm just saying it's not a standard feature.
Building a Rehostat spedd controller is going to cost less then $20us if you do it your self....

It says fresh paint cause you've only posted a few messages here....It will change with your experiance....It's kinda like leveling in a forum.
