Hey! That thing got a Hemi?!? :D
Seriously, excellent choice. Those cars are extremely dependable, and from what I've found, have a decent resell value as well.

that baby has what, like, four doors? **** man, that's cool. And it's got like two cams to you know it's going to be a beast on the road. Four tires? Holy crap, that thing must handle like a BEAST.
A real gem for our very own DaveW.
heehee, good eyes!

I liked the Server Down! Status light.. And it appears to have the XM Radio Tea Parties station as well.. Seriously a nice feature. I had a '92 SL2 several years back although it didn't have the features of (I am guessing from the look of the steering wheel) it's a 94?, it was a GREAT car! The Twin Cam on the SL2 was a huge improvement over the SL1's. My buddy with an Accord always wanted to drive it, because if you flip the little "Performance" button it would hold 1st gear until about 6K RPMs before it shifted, and would bark the front tires between shifts. Needless to say he didn't get to drive it very many times.. :D
Good job Jon, and congratulations Dave!

Guys...thank you so much for making my day. I laughed so hard at this I nearly went blind.
Ow.
Seriously though, looking forward to driving this baby so much. It's a lot more than I hoped to get for my money, and it's all thanks to Jon. A round of applause, please, for the man with the master plan!
:) I can't wait! Counting down the days, filling out forms, booking flights, weighing my luggage...everything is falling into place. Just need to get these exams out of the way.
Once again guys, thank you so much. I really can't thank you enough.

No worries! I'm glad everything worked out so well, this should make your stay much more fun having steady transportation. Good luck with the rest.

And it's a sedan so you can pick up local TBCSers and take them out for a drink or something
just have a designated driver or a damned good alibi. ;)

Dave--Jon and I are about 1hour away from each other, so let's work out a time/place to meet. If time permits, I'd love to have both of you stay a weekend in the Mountains so we can catch up on some good conversation and American Whiskey ;)
Seriously--we gotta do this.

If I get enough notice on timing, I have a few frequent flier miles I could burn and join in. And I will bring some whiskey...
If I am welcome ;) lol
Keep me updated and I will look into flights. What would be the choice airport to fly into?

Sounds good guys! I won't be free till after the 20th August for that sort of thing though. :)
I'm having a lot of trouble getting the car insured. I'm talking to some guys about it at he moment, current AIG, who are willing to insure me. Unfortunately, Jon had to register the vehicle in his name, which apparently means that he has to be insured to drive it before anyone else can.
In the UK, you insure the drivers and the cars...so person A is insured to drive car A, etc. Usually fully comp. allows you to drive another car, but normally you're only covered 3rd party when you do it.
Jon could insure the vehicle, but then I'd not be fully covered any accidents push up his premiums.
On the plus side, PA are willing to accept that I can own a car. #sigh#
There's just so much freaking paperwork.

This is one of the reasons I am eagerly awaiting the much announced "New World Order"...
Bring it on, ONLY if it alleviates this insurance nightmare (among other things).
