These things look amazing. They add a peak of 66 GFLOPS per card, and run on 25 watts.

it runs on any computer with PCI-X slots.

Interesting, but wouldn't a program have to be able to use such a processor?

Yes it would. The website states that its for use with mostly math programs and such. There is a dev toolkit available so it's possible to make it work for more things, assuming your a coding wiz.

There are so many technologies that really open up computing, but since the general public doesn't use them, coders won't either. Like PAE for ram in vista. You know, the thing that lets a computer use more than 4 gigabytes of memory at once.

since the general public doesn't really need it, coders won't use it. Sad. It's a hard life for enthusiasts.
