will the
Cooler Master Aquagate Max Universal Liquid Cooling Kit
be able to handle this load?
Danger Den MPC-680i Liquid Cooling nVidia 680i Intel Chipset Block
2 Swiftech MCW60 VGA Water Blocks
Koolance HD-57 Hydra-Pak Dual Hard Drive Liquid Cooling Block
and 2 Thermaltake Aqua RX Series R1 Memory Liquid Cooling Blocks

all help is appreciated

you can find it all at frozencpu.com

I'd imagine it would be able to, although I don't really have any experience with liquid cooling yet.

yea I think so too but im just a bit worried I might have to add another pump or something

Why fork out for the Aquagate? You can use that cash to get yourself a 240mm radiator, a nice pump and a res for better performance. Probably cost ya a little bit more.

your putting to much into that loop, either go with 2 or skip the useless stuff like memory and hard drive cooling, they don 't need it. if your that worried then get heatsinks and fans for them.

here is a setup that would work very good with all that you want, minus the chipsets, hard drives and ram.

2x Swiftech MCW60 VGA cooler (https://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-MCW60-R-VGA-cooler-pr-3777.html) = 36.90
1x Swiftech MCP655 Pump (https://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-MCP655-B-12-VDC-Pump-Without-speed-controller-pr-3803.html) = 69.99
1x D-tek FuZion (https://www.jab-tech.com/D-tek-FuZion-CPU-Water-Block-pr-3667.html) = 49.95
1x Swiftech MCR 320 rad (https://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-MCR320-QP-K-Triple-120mm-Radiator-pr-3320.html) 53.95
1x Swiftech MicroRes (https://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-MCRES-Micro-pr-3093.html) = 16.99
1x Swiftech HydrX (https://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-Hydrx-Extreme-Duty-Coolant-UV-REACTIVE-pr-2476.html) = 2.99
10x ClearFLEX 60 Tubing 1/2" ID / 3/4" OD (https://www.jab-tech.com/ClearFLEX-60-Tubing-1-2-ID-3-4-OD-pr-2431.html) = 8.90
3x YATE LOON 120mm Case Fan (https://www.jab-tech.com/YATE-LOON-120mm-Case-Fan-D12SH-12-High-Speed-pr-3771.html) = 9.45

total = $286.06

That is a good system. Spawn swears by Swiftech stuff. The radiators are good but if you wanted to save money you could get an Alphacool NexXxos or maybe a HWLabs Black Ice, they perform quite well. Also I'm not a huge fan of the micro res, I would get a nice Danger Den drive bay res, more coolant, will help with temps.

I agree with tb4o on the res, wow that cuts my price in half thanks Plus they ship to canada!

Spawn-Inc
06-01-2008, 01:37 AM
yup, and i really should invest in water cooling and stop reading about it :). once work picks up i think i will upgrade to it.

and ya jabtech is nice enough to have good prices with shipping to canada!

and i should point out there is a second version of the Dtek Fusion block but its 20 more.

Dtek Fusion V2 (https://www.jab-tech.com/D-tek-Fuzion-V2-pr-4155.html) 63.95

and if you go with the older one its actually 49.99, i guess i should update my list:redface:

i noticed the only difference between a 24 rad and a 320 rad is $10

The boy 4rm oz
06-01-2008, 02:16 AM
IF you have the room go for a 320mm rad. The difference between the D-Tek blocks is $10? I Australia they cost the same lol, $79.00.

Spawn-Inc
06-01-2008, 02:18 AM
ya i don't know why they do that, so if you have the room i would just grab the 320 and it leaves room for either more stuff in the loop or quieters fans, the ones i put in that list where 88FM high speed 40DB fans.

the setup i plan to buy will have 6 of those fans on a fan controller so when i am gaming or bench marking i can put it at full speed for best results. also the push and pull setup helps more too.

985323
06-01-2008, 02:20 AM
I would like the 320 but im not sure i have space, because i have the lexa blackline and would like to place the rad in the same spot as the one in the mod "project lexa" http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9478&page=34

so im pretty sure I dont have the room

The boy 4rm oz
06-01-2008, 02:53 AM
Yep that's my mod lol. You can fit a 240mm radiator on the bottom and maybe top of the case but you need new rear feet. I also have a 120mm radiator mounted on my rear 120mm exhaust fan.

I also have a 80mm radiator which I was thinking of sticking on the top 80mm exhaust fan but I don't think my pump will be able to handle it.

985323
06-01-2008, 12:42 PM
what do you mean about new rear case feet?

Spawn-Inc
06-01-2008, 02:14 PM
i think he means that the triple rad would be to long and you would have to extend the 2 pack "feet"

yea problably

The boy 4rm oz

Even a 240mm is too big unless you want the tubing to come up into the HDD bays. I will find you a pic from my worklog.

The boy 4rm oz
06-02-2008, 01:02 AM
Have a look at this pic:
http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/1734/dsc01685jm4.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
The way the rear feet curve inwards makes it impossible to mount a 240mm radiator on the underside of the case without modifying or removing the existing rear feet. Even if you push the radiator as far towards the rear feet as you can the inlet and outlet of the radiator will come through under the HDD bays.

985323
06-02-2008, 01:33 AM
yea and thats not going to work because I would have to drill through the HDD Bay itself, and with the two HDD's in it Im not sure it would be worth it

The boy 4rm oz
06-02-2008, 01:46 AM
You could make new rear feet. Or modify and re-enforce the original. It's not really that hard to overcome. I just thought I would make some feet to match my mod.

985323
06-02-2008, 02:01 AM
Yea and I love what youve done in your mod, I think I might try to modify and re-enforce the rear feet, im just not sure how to pull it off.

The boy 4rm oz
06-02-2008, 02:04 AM
The way I thought of doing it was to maybe cut the entire middle section out of the feet and only have to two bits that actually support the case left. You would need to think of a new way to mount the remaining feet and then re-enforce them.

985323
06-02-2008, 02:16 AM
yea that would work but Im not much of a modder yet you see this is the first computer ive ever built myself so im a bit lacking in knowhow

instead of doing all that work for a 240 rad would this work? http://thermaltakeusa.com/Product.aspx?C=1162&ID=1624 even though I dislike Thermaltake products.

Spawn-Inc
06-02-2008, 05:48 PM
if you don't mind it then just put the 240/360 rad on the back of the case, like this.

985323

yea thats always a good idea, need some pretty long screws though

985323
06-02-2008, 09:01 PM
Actually I think I know what I want to do, I'll get the 240rad and put it ontop of the case, then drill holes so the in and out fittings come into the case right behind my dvd drive, seems obvious to me Now.

once work picks up i will be ordering a cpu setup similar to the one i suggested for you and i think i will be mounting the rad the same as the pic, at the back of the case, will just have to get some threaded rod. if i have mine before you get yours i will post pics on how i did it and results :) hopefully i will see a 10C drop.

985323
06-03-2008, 12:03 AM
thats what I am hoping for aswell, im ordering my stuff at the end of july (next month) so hopefully I can get started and start my first worklog soon.

The boy 4rm oz

Mounting the rad on the top of the case would work but you wouldn't be able to draw any air from the inside of the case, the PSU is in the way. You would still need to have the rad raised up a bit with the fans outside the case.

985323
06-03-2008, 10:22 AM
yea, I plan to have the fans on top of the rad blowing the air upwards

thats the way i planned originally but i've had 2 fans mess up on my in a horizontal position so i am gonna through it on the back.

985323
06-03-2008, 03:13 PM
yea i would but I find it would be easier to have it horizontal because my case is right up against my wall anyways.

well i just fell into $5700 via life insurance (something about dividends?) my parents got me when i was a baby :D:D:D:D:D::D:D so i'm gonna make one last decision and potentially order some water cooling tonight.

Nice, I wish something like that will happen to me when I turn 18 next month, what setup might you order?

wow heres the lay down of what im goin to get:

2x Swiftech MCW60-R VGA cooler
1x AquaXtreme IceFloe Universal CPU Water Block ½" High Flow fittings
1x Swiftech MCP655-B™ 12 VDC Pump Without speed controller
1x Swiftech MCR-220 Radiator - Black
15ft ClearFLEX 60 Tubing 1/2" ID / 3/4" OD (never know)
1x PrimoChill ICE (32 oz.) - Black / UV Blue
2x YATE LOON 120mm Case Fan - D12SL-12
1x Danger Den Dual 5 1/4" Bay Reservoir
1x Danger Den MPC-680i Liquid Cooling nVidia 680i Intel Chipset Block

total is somewhere over $350

Spawn-Inc
06-03-2008, 11:42 PM
nice, i was gonna get 15 feet of tubing 2 but there was only 12 feet left, so it will have to do. i doubt i will use it all but like you said just incase.

later on i want to add 2 swiftech gpu blocks but i'm thinking i will update my cards later on so i don't want to commit to anything just yet.

hoping i can run my quad to 4GHz and get it stable enough to do bench's without having to put my pc outside in -9C air.

any reason for choosing that water block?

985323
06-03-2008, 11:56 PM
my cpu waterblock or my gpu waterblock, both of them because they are acrylic so I can see the liquid pass through
