The type of Aluminum you want will depend on what your going to do with it.
If your going to cut or machine it you'll want to get 6061. If your going to bend stamp or form it you'll want to pickup any of the 5000 series (5052, etc). Both will powder coat well. A good Source for aluminum is asapsource.com (http://www.asapsource.com/public/index.asp)

Some other places (never used but easily found on google)
www.onlinemetals.com/ (http://www.onlinemetals.com/)
www.metalsdepot.com/ (http://www.metalsdepot.com/)

You'll have to look locally for a powder coater.

Good Luck!!

Well it will be cut. Im wanting it to bend at a 45 degree angle, but i do not have a press brake so i do not know if thats possible. Is it?

If you have a vise and a couple of boards you can bend it....
Check out TribalOverkill's work log (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=745&page=101) (Post 50)

He's showing bending with a pipe, but you can use aboard @ 90 degrees or one cut at a 45 degree in place of the pipe.

Clamp the Board (with one edge cut to 45 degrees) down over the sheet of Aluminum make sure the edge of the board is aligned with the edge of the bench. To keep the bend even you can use another board (no bevel) to force the Aluminum into place.

Sorry I'm not where I can take pics or anything.
