I hear alot of people talking about various types of paint jobs on their cases and I was wondering what some of the differences were and possibly some suggestions for my own situation.

My own case I am looking to actually do a solid white, possibly with stripes or lettering. But mainly I am looking for something that has an industrial style thick paint quality. I've looked at powder coating, vitreous enamel, appliance enamel, and spray paint but not sure what would give me that look. The look is kind of hard to define, I want it to look like an industrial component but sparkling new, not the typical industrial aged we see alot of here. (I like that look too but wanted to veer away from that for this project)

I've had some luck with spray paint, but normally only with matte finishes, the gloss always came out crappy.

You can paint it with whatever.

It's the clearcoat you're disappointed in.

Your looking for automotive clearcoat. The problem is you need a spray gun to spray it.

Another option. Just paint your case the way you want it and go to an autobody shop and they will clearcoat it for you for around 50$.

Try looking for a olace that will prime it with an epoxy based paint, paint it with whatever you want, and clear coat it.

Use appliance epoxy paint. It's tough chip resistant. Think of how a dryer or washing machine looks, smooth paint but that hard finish. Same thing and it comes in lots of colors. Give it a shot on a test panel and groove on.
