A few of you may have seen my RAM thread and a couple suggested newegg. Most know newegg only ships to American addresses, however a friend suggested to get a friend from the US to help and redirect after it's delivered to them. I don't have to many direct friends in the US, however I've seen the TBCS community help others out with things, so I'm wondering if anyone is willing to help me out in this?

If a moderator thinks this is against the rules, feel free to notify me and close it.

Buy it locally trust me the screwing around and shipping costs make up for the price difference.

For a single item, the shipping cost would suck, but I'd be ordering more than one thing. The amount I save overall isn't too much... but then again I'd be purchasing more than what you could buy over here.

Just a quick note, I'm hoping to find someone who isn't in California, New Jersey, New York or Tennessee as these states have sales tax.

EDIT: Also best if you're over 18.

Well I hit a bit of a snag after a forum member offered to help me. After trying to order the components myself (using my own card) it made the order void (most likely because I can't input an Australian billing address). Not sure where I should go from here.

Well, they're here!
Thanks to a forum member (they know who they are... unless they get amnesia) who helped me out. Sorry no pictures as I have nowhere clean in my room to take them. Currently formatting one of my new 1TB drives as I prepare my computer for a reformat!

I wish i knew what it felt like to have 800 GB of data on my platters, its probably similar to the feeling of having 800 dollars in your wallet. I honestly can't even fathom how one would aquire 800 GB worth of Data. I really can't... but then again i rock a laptop w/ a measly 20 GB HDD.

nice to see there is good people left in the world.

@luciusad - back before i had my own computer i was used using a 80gb hdd split between 4 people that never got full. then i decided to get a 250 gb hdd and install my copy of windows and switch back and forth i never thought i would use anywhere near that much space, but it was a good deal. now i have 4 drives with 1.25 TB of space. but i only have 400-500gb's of used space.

The first HDD I had, I had a 60GB drive, I never thought I'd fill it up, but I did. I occasionally go searching for old TV shows which you can't get anymore. I'm still waiting until I can get a lot of series on DVD.
