I know it is a little early but I want to say happy fathers day to all the dads at TBCS, I lost my dad ten yrs ago . I saw a thread on another forum and it got me thinking if you have funny stories , sad stories , or just want to say happy fathers day .
One thing i would like to ask any of you that still have your dads i know life is super crazy but tommorrrow go see him, call him, send him email ,or e card .

I was raised by my dad my mother is living but thats all i
wanna say about that .
I just want to get this off my chest if you guys dont mind i see a lot of rant threads this is a thanks thread .
When i was growing up my dad didnt make much money at all.
I didnt get many of the things i wanted in my teenage years but i got what i needed i am 35 yrs old this month i have had a job since i was 14 yrs old.because of what my dad taught me .

I never really understood what my dad went through when i was young always
sacrificie for me all the worry and pain he went through he wouldnt ever go to the doctor because he ddint have insurance .

Well now i see if there is anything good in me as a man it is because of him,
he was tough on me i thought , I see why know i told this story in another forum
When i was younger it was before i could drive my i had broken my ankle it turned black up to my ankle lol,
Well of course i had a cast and when i got where i could where the boot thingie and no crutches we were in the process , Of building a porch i was the block carrier how would lay the blocks .

well ithought since my leg was broken i would have to carry any blocks .
My dad looks at me and says ok ok ok carry them one at a time we wouldnt want you to get you hands dirty or something like that lol .
that was classic my dad
anyways guys if you have a story you want to tell be my guest

rest well daddy you have earned it

I actually put some of my money aside this year to get my Dad something for Father's Day. While he was out I went out and bought him a $250 Sony 5.1 System to replace his aging stereo. Hes been eying them in ads for a while, and I think he'll love them.

But Happy Fathers day to the rest of the dads out there

Thanks to all, still kinda new to this Daddy thing but lovin' it. :)

I was raised by my gandfather, he was my Dad. Lost him several years back but I learned a lot from him. (The hard way, of course. Nothing else seems to stick with me.) Grew up calling the man who was my dad Grandaddy. That word still bears a huge amount of meaning, respect and regret, and likely always will. I second the motion posted by Liquid. If you still have your dad, however he may be related to you, be glad, be there and let him know what he means to you.

It's technically not father's day over here in Australia, however my father currently isn't in Australia, he's in the UK.

Happy Father's Day to the dads here from one of the soon-to-be dads. May there be many more!

Now go mod something!

Look what I got

It has a water jacket so once frozen it keeps my homebrew cool. Lasts a couple of hours which is plenty for what I consume in an evening.

Very cool!!

A few days before father's day, my wife and myself were in the grocery store and they had a waffle iron. I dunno but for some reason I thought it a bit odd, since I didn't think many people went to a grocery store looking to buy a waffle iron. So I said "we haven't had waffles in a long time" to my wife. So guess what I got for Fathers Day....

Yep, you guessed it.. A waffle iron????

I dunno how many hints I have dropped about a compound miter saw or bench top sanding station, but apparently not enough. No worries its the thought that counts anyways.

I gave her a present for mothers day too. oh well, what do you do)
