hey, howcome its always mp3 players and no1 ever talks about mp4 players? i have one and its as much as an ipod. dont buy an ipod, buy an Iriver PMP-120 or 140, there much better.

can you enlighten us to mp4 and what that is all about?

I do agree with you on the iriver players. I think their functionality is outstanding. I think the softeware is a little clunky but still......

an mp4 is the video version of the mp3, it plays crompressed low definition videos for like portable computers. The reason this thread is probably for mp3's is because no one has an mp4 player, cause they havent hit mainstream yet.

I think the ipod photo should play mp4s. That would be sweet, but I don't know if it would be able to handle it or not. I saw a mp4 player in a car. Before that I didn't even know what they where.

An mp4 player is probably expensive.

MP4 players rocks, I had one from Archos, an AV420. It rocked. I could put movies on it. I remember going on an airplane flight and watching iRobot on it.

But I returned it. I then put the $500 towards a laptop I got about 3 months later.
