about this idea:

the shaded parts are aluminum. rest is acrylic.
on the back of acrylic, will be honeycomb "modder's mesh" (MNPCTech) with blue backlighting from 3 Blue CCFLs ...
I am thinking of making this thing 12" in diameter (outer circle) the drawing is 6" in diameter.
my uncle has a dremel, so I guess this should be really easy (the cutting part) but what would I have to use to glue acrylic to aluminum and vice versa?
btw, I am planning on getting acrylic sheet from mcmaster.com ... what would you say is the "best" thickness for this? 1/8" or 1/4" or ... ?
