I know I've been pretty quiet on the boards lately, So here's a little update on what I've been up to.

I've been working on finishing my basement. This has been taking a large majority of my time. -Sooner or later it will get done!
I've been doing some landscaping outside.
My son is taking swimming lessons, so thats always fun to watch.
And, work has been pretty busy. We've got enough jobs to keep us busy through 2009 and it looks like there is more coming.

As for modding, I haven't really done anything exciting except help a few friends build a few systems. But the exciting news is I was asked by Razer to compete in an invitation only modding contest. Unfortunatly, I'm not sure if I will be able to enter as I don't think I will have the time to devote to it.

It starts July 1'st and ends Aug. 22 so its not much time. Besides, I'd be competing against 2 other modders. One of which is MNPCTech. So I don't even think I have a chance.

The bad thing about it, is I don't get to keep the case!
So I think I'm going to have to tell them I can't do it.


Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be doing another case for myself this winter. I'm already getting tired of motorized madness, plus I want to upgrade some components that won't fit in the case. So I'm going start planning a new design sometime and hopefully when things slow down around the house here and the weather turns cold, I can start on it.

Thats it, in a nutshell.

Oh, and I almost forgot, I did get myself a birthday present. I ordered a Dell XPS 1530 laptop. 2.4ghz. 4 gig ram, 320 gig HD, LED backlit display, and a slot loading dvd drive. It should be here July 10th!!! :) I've already looked into what mods I could do to it, but honestly, I didn't find much other than some led's in the case...
