Rocketfish case

I just saw the Rocketfish case in another thread and thought it looked pretty cool. The review here said it was a great case, but I don't think they are readily available anymore.

Except that I found one (or a few) on Ebay. I am considering one for 100 bucks including shipping and a 400w power supply (that I don't really need).

I really think this case has a lot of potential and is exactly what I have been looking for. But... is it worth 100 bucks? Anyone out there have a source on these for less than that? I know that they were about the 60 to 70 dollar range when new in the store.

What's y'all's opinion? Good deal or not?

I would totally get that case!!
It looks a lot like other Lian Li cases but way cheaper, and those cases make cable management way easy
It's got lotsa features too...
tool-less installation, which is mostly a must these days
I kinda want one now too...
It looks like it's got lotsa modding potential too

yeah... it's a sweet case, and i'll probably get it. he's got 5 of them for that price.

i was just hoping someone could point me to one cheaper.

i currently have a Lian Li case that's about 4 years old (not sure of the model name), and I absolutely love it. except for a few things here and there that are diff now, it's a great case.

They are really nice cases. I've one for my mod. Picked it up for $47 at Best Buy on clearance. They were being discontinued so you would probably have a hard time finding one at a store.

When I worked at Best Buy when these first hit the shelves they were going for $200-250 new, so considering that, the E-bay auction is a pretty good price. The case is great and I love it. Hope that helps you.

Great case absolutely worth the money. These were originally sold at $200, when they went on clearance they ended up dropping the price way down. Got mine for roughly $50. Plus it isn't just like a Lian-Li, it is a Lian-Li, just rebranded and made a little cheaper. But Lian-Li upgrades and stock parts fit and match this perfectly. They make a custom CD-Bezel to stealth your optical drive which matches perfect, also got a little temp monitor for mine and it matches perfect. A number of the features of many of the normal Lian-Li cases like the removable/swapable PSU bracket were left out to cut costs but this is still a great case. Huge amount of space. Looks real stealthy stock, but also very modable.

I bought two of these when they were on clearance. I only bought 2 because my wife said I couldnt buy one at that price unless I got her one too, who the hell am I to argue. She wants it modded but thats slow going since work sucks. Anyway, there is a ton of space in this case, probably more then you need. Only issue I had when I was setting mine up is that my PSU screw holes weren't compatable with the holes on the case, so I removed a screw from the PSU and recycled it on the case, now it sits quite nicely.

got the case and he upgraded the power supply to a 700 watt unit and shipping for $129.99. not sure on the brand for the power supply. i'm gonna throw it into my HTPC that i'll be building.

not too bad, i suppose.
