If you haven't already joined up, TBCS now has an Official steam community!

As of right now, the biggest game we play is Team Fortress 2. Seriously, what could be more fun then fragging people with a bunch of cool modders from the best website on the internet? Nothing is. So go on and join up. Seriously. What's stopping you?

never played TF2, but i'm willing to give it a try. used to play a lot of UT2K a few years back... well, many years back... so i'm not a total newb to FPS.

anyone ever schedule events? anyone running a server? where does the group normally play?

I'm already a member of STEAM, although I DO NOT play online games. How do I join you guys to boost your membership, but still not play

We had a few events a while back but the turnout was poor, although i see we have a whole load of new members which is fantastic, so we shall try and put together a few more!

There was some talk of a server but we'll see how that goes.

what does it take to run a server? just a computer with good specs? i have run a UT2k server in the past. prolly could do so again.

Im not completely sure, i think the computer side of things is pretty simple, but you need a decent net connection or having more then a couple of people on the server will result in it being unplayable.
I havent looked into it all that much, but if you google around in sure you will come up with some more reliable info!

If you have fiber for your net you're probably ok, or fast cable or DSL. There's no way you can run one on dial-up, though.

yeah... no dial up, sure.

i got a good connection and a good rig to run it on. rig ain't quite set up yet, but i'll be willing to host in a few weeks, once i get the rig built.

i may even upgrade to Road Runner Turbo... 10 Mb/s connection (least have an excuse to do so)

Cool, well if you can host a decent server, that would be awesome!
