There's no conflicts? Allso, check the female plug on the motherboard, to see if any pins are messed up. Probably not, but you never know.

The people working in the sweatshop in china must have messed up on something, I guess.

Maybe I can explain the process tomorrow. Right now, I have to go to bed. It takes a while to figure out on your own.

First, in the router's settings, get the two DNS servers
http://img387.imageshack.us/img387/6749/ip01rb6.jpg
then the router's IP address and subnet mask
http://img384.imageshack.us/img384/4726/ip02bj7.jpg
Then go to your connections
http://img384.imageshack.us/img384/1775/ip3rt2.gif
And go into properties for the onboard LAN
http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/7139/ip04mg1.jpg
Then the properties for Internet Protocol (Tcp/IP)
http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/6078/ip05hs9.jpg
Then, last, enter the settings
http://img391.imageshack.us/img391/9135/ip06tu4.jpg
Enter the settings that you got. The default gateway is your router's IP address, and for you computer's IP, enter the same IP that you entered for default gateway, but change the numbers after the last "." It can be 1-3 digits, I would reccommend 3. It can be anything 1-255, except for the last number of the router's IP.

Hope that helped.

It might not be enabled in the Bios check the Advanced Features area for the Ethernet options.

Uninstall the drivers, and use the disc provided with your motherboard to reinstall them rather than letting windows try to find them.

Or the motherboard could have fried, with the onboard ethernet not working as a warning. Did you try removing the battery, and putting it back in after a few minutes yet?

i am most likely not goin to need this thread anymore as last night my motherboard basically stopped working and i might have fried my processor, i have talked to the guys a xfx and they are goin to send me a replacement board, hopefully this new board will not have the same problems. I am postind this thanks to my old generic costco computer.
