I know, very descriptive title.

What I am looking for is a case that is black alum with a window. I have one from Lian-Li, and it's cool. But I want one that doesn't have a power button cut into it. I just want 5+ 5 1/2 slots on the front so I can have my own power switch in one of the slots. I would also like to have a 120 fan on the bottom, but I can borrow some tools and mod that out if I need to.

Thanks

that case doesnt exist, only if you make your own. noone sells cases without a power and a reset button, not even without a power or hd led ive seen :)

Lian Li makes a 6077? I think case and the switches are located on one of the bays, if ya wanna make your own, remove it, and put em anywhere ya like.

oh i see what you mean. there are some cases that have the switches in the bays yes. thermaltake armor is one of them and they have a black one. very nice case for a high price.

I will have to do a search for the 6077. I really just want a flat, plain-looking black case. One of the mods I have drawn up is from the black box you hear about planes having. It would be black with yellow striped tape on the corners, and the inside would be yellow or orange.

i dont think i have ever seen a case without a power button. i think what you can do is take it out and use some kind of filler to fill in the hole and then sand it down.

bondo, though I love it…
Would be hard to match to an alum case unless you painted the etire thing, which would then just ruin a pretty alum case :)

here's a trick, roll the front of the case in aluminum colored contact paper, if its cut right and done properly you cant even tell. anotehr idea is to roll teh front of the case in umm. hmm forgot what its called but its a shiney type of aluminum metal looking paper. I saw a guide on making your bezel look aluminum with it, matched a lian li case to perfection.

Look in the mirror. Stick out your tongue. Can you read it?

You could use the power and reset switches to do something else, like open a cd drive. Also remember if your going to use a switch to turn your computer on and off thata switch will not keep it on.. Flipping a switch on is like holding down your power button. It will shutoff after 5 seconds. So maybe if you can find a switch that flips back after hitting it or you might just have to flip it on then off when useing it. On my first mod I wanted to use a whole bunch of toggle switches to to turn everything on but it didnt work like planned.

my thermaltake is real easy to remove the leds and the power and reset buttons and like zed said ya can just put em were ever ya like even change colors or go with out or even cooler yet you can make it a button less machine if you have the right mobo like my gigabyte. you can set it up so that if you hit certain keys on the keyboard it will turn on without hittin a button...thats how i have mine 8)
