I need your help.

I'm working on a new site that will be a gallery of the World's Greatest PC Modders. I will have pics of the modder with name and location and have the pics link to their own individual galleries. The galleries will display ALL of their mods and list the name of the project and any hardware the machine has/had.

The criteria is someone who has created a multitude of PC Mods, is well known for doing so and has had their work published more than once.

Here's the list of modder's I have thus far:

Mashie
Troy Fryfogle
Paul Capello
Bill Owen
Defyant
TechDaddy
Sheldog23

Please let me know who I'm missing.

I qualify for this list too, but if I put myself on here I'll feel like a prick.

This is a really cool idea =)
Well you cant do a list without G69T right ;)
He built the famous Dark Blade among others !!!

I know of Dark Blade, but don't know of his other PC's and where they've been published

Check his site out: http://www.g69t.it/eng/index.htm
Its not that informative but there is a glimpse and stuff of his older work.
Anyways, i think he should be on list the for pure cnc skills ;)

I would add peter dickison who created Orac3 to the list

TheGreatSatan

What else has he done? Where's he been published?

I know. I just think you're good enough to be on the list anyways. Clever, at least.

I think that all of the guys currently in our make-shift hall of fame are worthy including the fellas I had to remove until we get the full platform installed. Heavy Metal is one of my personal favs.

WillettFX has only one mod, correct?

I will have an Up and Coming Modders page, a Modder of the Month and
Year pages too.

To my knowledge he has 2, but the first one was really a prelude to the monster mod. It's pictured in the first page I think.

Nicely done. That layout is slick!

Hey there! It's the guy who told me to "go drink the coolaid" and when asked if I could honor his cigar boxes in the hall of fame said "abso-#$@!-lutely not, never, blah blah blah". Glad to see you are doing okay, how are those cigar boxes holding up?

I agree on all of the other choices though.

Magnus Persson, aka Wolverine YES

Brian Adams, aka Boddaker (http://www.bods-mods.com) YES, his website says Brian Carter though

Richard Nagy, aka Datamancer (http://www.datamancer.net/) NO, until I see more than the steampunk mod.

Nick Falzone, aka Greensabbath (http://www.nickfalzonedesign.com/) NO, just 2 mods

and yes....whether you like it or not....

Jeffrey Stephenson, aka slipperyskip (http://slipperyskip.com/page23.html)Obviously!

Nominated, seconded, and now I'll third. What about rendermandan? He's got at least 2 mods, and has been featured not only here, but engadget had him up when Motorized Madness was completed.

green sabbath has more than the two desktops...he also made a SFF and a coheed and cambria mod...

really, i dont think that the number of mods qualifies, some modders may have some really high quality mods but they may have only built the one so far

jdbnsn
07-09-2008, 07:55 PM
what about Frenkie, _ferry_, cyclonite, Franklin?

07-09-2008, 08:14 PM
Looks good. ;)

I think this could be a great inspiration to see other's accomplishing some level of reward outside of getting some bragging rights.

TheGreatSatan
07-09-2008, 08:31 PM
I hope so. I believe they deserve it too. I've been in 10 magazines and only 1 published my picture. The Mods are great, but the people behind them don't get enough attention. I've added Paul to the site, click on his pic.

Thanks for the nomination guys! I'm honored. And no, my name isn't Brian Adams (that's the singer lol).

Might I also suggest you get TiTON (Ton Khowdee) of Ironmods (http://www.ironmods.com) as well. He's done some amazing mods in the past year and has numerous features on the web and print.

:)

jdbnsn
07-09-2008, 11:50 PM
Oh yeah, I forgot TiTON. He's built some great mods and he was going to post them here some time ago but must have gotten too busy. Definitely worthy in my book.

I'm nominating Coolmeister from coolercases.co.uk (http://coolercases.co.uk/). He's done a multitude of mods including the Cosmos SLR mod (http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=139826&page=10) (scroll down for pics) and the Yamaha Stacker mod (http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=133286&page=13). He was featured in Custom PC for the Yamaha mod (see link) and again in CustomPC for SLi 'n Shinymaster (http://coolercasesuk.co.uk/showthread.php?t=435&page=3) (again, scroll down)

Drum Thumper

TGS, thank you for raising the bar and setting another goal for all of us to obtain.

The site looks great! And yes, the list is going to get longer and longer with each passing day.

Case in point--filimon.

Edit: Stu King, owner of Mod Nation, creator of War Machine (http://www.themodnation-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=62) (not Iron Man V1.0). One of three mods that got me interested in modding (the other two were Doom3 Project Mars City and HP Res Mega).

Great work TGS! You know, Mashie's O2 mod, Oenone , is what lead to me finding TBCS. In a round about google way. I have that same system, but my case is clear and it is really an O2. I installed some glow tape under the case... heh

I have some others to add, but I will contact them to see if they are interested first. Does it matter if the mods they do are for others (for profit)? They are still unique.

TheGreatSatan

thrasher2 will be on board soon.

SlipperySkip's page is finally done. I had no idea that he made so many mods

http://www.pcmodhouse.com/worldsgreatestpcmodders/index.html

EnVaDoR will be making the list soon. You may remember his Dashboard PC that made the cover of PC Modder in the Spring of 2004

b4i7
07-21-2008, 11:00 AM
dunno if he has already made the list or not, but sleepstreamer on BT. he has cold fusion, hanger101 and his new MCE v.2

edit.. i would also like to second nominate g69t, though he is only known for his darkblade, he has his first mod titled g69t, and his DB is a masterpiece...

TheGreatSatan
07-22-2008, 05:00 PM
Don't recall a sleepstreamer.......G69t, I can add to the up and comers list with WillettFX

Boddaker
07-22-2008, 06:01 PM
Sleepstreamer's work:

Hangar101 (http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2007/02/26/hangar_101_by_sleepstreamer/10)

Cold Fusion (http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2006/11/13/cold_fusion_by_sleepstreamer/11)

MCE 2.0 (http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2008/07/21/mce2-by-sleepstreamer/10)

Also, Green Sabbath is a must-have on the list as well. He has at least four mods under his belt (Sangaku, Yuugou, Nakamura, Three Evils) and has been featured pretty much everywhere.

Acey
07-22-2008, 06:16 PM
Sleepstreamer's Cold Fusion & MCE2.0 is cool. Clean, classy, tight. Deservedly featured on btn.
