Basicly I would like one but one that is not only mic but can be done with a headphone input. So you just get a headphone socket cable splitter or whatever and split the output from the soundcard so one goes to my headset and other goes to the sound activation device. cause tbh i dont use my speakers much and they are pretty ****.

would it be possible to build maybe :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

such a cool emotion :O

It would definitely be possible to build. All you need to do is open the sound control unit, find the microphone, remove it, and solder on a pair of wires which then connect to a mini plug. Then, use a 2 way splitter on your speaker output, and plug headset into one and the sound controller into the other. Done.

Welcome to TBCS by the way!

Yes, that's exactly what you need to connect. Second, try to get one of the sound sensors that is separate from the ccfl inverter. The inverters can be dangerous to open/work on, so try to find one with a separate sound sensor. Much safer to work on.

It's still possible to buy the sound activated one from ebay and mod it. I guess it really just depends on what you're comfortable working with. I think that that thing from virtual-hideout looks like a good idea, and would probably be the best and easiest, since there would be no modding of the inverter, or anything, really.

Surprisingly enough the cheaper CCFL Kits are the sound activated type.
