Hi,
I changed the case of my Dell Dimension 8300 to a bZerk miditower blue. Now I can't get my Western Digital Caviar 250 GB to work! A blue background and white text is showing when I'm turning on my computer. Can someone help?

First thing to do is check your jumpers and the cable - make sure if you're using the master connection on your cable (if you're only using one HDD, it should be the only connection on your cable you use - usually the first on the cable) make sure the jumpers are set to Master.
Another thing to check is your boot order - make sure your bios is set correctly to boot from the HDD.
If that fails, check your power. Make sure you've got the pins right and providing the right amount of power - a multimeter will tell you the voltage and amperage you're getting.

Thanks,
but all that is correct, could it maybe be the bios?
Should I update it?
I would say don't worry about updating the bios, it shouldn't change anything significant.

Okay,
but then it isn't so much to do?

99% of the time its a cable issue or boot order--updating the bios is not the solution
