7-Eleven Day is Over! I'm sad.

As many of you know, today was 7-Eleven day; the day you go and buy a slurpee (they also give them away for free until they run out of cups). I went and bought mine. I'm helping my home town of Kennewick, WA keep our title of "Slurpee Capitol of the World," a title which is given out officially by 7-Eleven.com (http://www.7-eleven.com/NewsRoom/HotDogItsNationalSlurpDay/tabid/260/Default.aspx). Manitoba is mad and trying to default the title back to themselves, but Kennewick is the winner still! Anyway, I just wanted to celebrate our victory as #1 with all of you. I've been waiting for a while to steal the title.

7-11 pulled out of Montana in the late 1970s (right after I was born). Needless to say, I was not able to enjoy my first slurpee until I was 14. We have Icees here.

That's pretty good if one town can out do an entire province. Question: Do they have 7-11's in Manitoba? I haven't seen one in southern Ontario.

There are barely any in New Hampshire, either. I've never actually had a Slurpee.

Yeah, I said it. If I'd known this promotion existed, I might've tried to find one (think there's a 7-Eleven about half an hour from me, not sure). Maybe next year.
