Anyone know where I could get some small analog gauges for my system like those on the Apevia X-Cruiser?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811144151

Apevia buys them somewhere, though obviously several thousand at a time.

Haven't had any luck in my search and I know a lot of people on here buy electronic components individually, was hoping someone knew of a source for gauges similar to these.

I also found a Do It Yourself Guide. Here (http://www.diylife.com/2008/02/02/show-pc-stats-on-analog-gauges/) <=-

That looks like what I was after, but Gigabyte's website reads "Compatible with GIGAYBTE ODIN GT series power supply only". Hmmmmm.....

I guess the demand for analog pc gauges just isn't there.

Many analog gauges can be opened, and you can change the back plate (with the text and graduation markings). then just find a blank edge to drill a hole to light it. some gauges are meant to be back lit even.

I've seen some mods using standard meters (usu have total deflection at 1mA)

I've seen others with modified tachometers from auto parts suppliers, and fed with a digital pulsed signal. - you just have to figure out how many pulses / rpm it takes to have full deflection, and make a new backplate to display the information you are metering.

I hope to someday have the time and determination (and the time) to build my own gauges. I think that would be a wonderful indicator of how well my life was going. :)

Now you've got me thinking. It'd be simple enough to wire one up to the monitor (yellow/blue) wire on a three-pin fan...

I had been doing research on this for a long time... as far as I can tell, the output is the same. Just get a vairable Tach set to a 2 cylinder engine. (the monitor wire does 2 pulses per rotation)
