My dremel has not been working for a while. I know that it is the power cord for it. So I have de-soldered the wire from the circuit board inside of it, and done the same for the other 2 wires. I know one of them is the ground, but I cannot identify what the other 2 are. The question is what wire (positive or negative) goes into the circuit board, and then what wire goes into the on/off switch? Need help ASAP. Thank you very much. Also, if this needs to be moved, please do so, I didn't know where to put it. =]

I would rather not. I don't have that much money, and this is the only thing I can do at the moment. All I need to know is what wire goes into the switch, the positive or negative. When I have more mone7y in my bank, I might have to do that if this doesn't all work out, which I think it will.

Get a new one. No sense in possibly injuring or killing yourself by hooking up the wires wrong.

generally speaking in terms of wiring switches break the hot "positive" wire. what colours are the wires?

black, red, sometimes blue are generally seen as the hot/live/positive wire and white is normally neutral/negative.

They did not have colors on the wires. That is why I am asking this question. If I knew, I would be looking up color coded wires on google. So you are guessing the nuetral goes to the board and that the hot (positive) goes into the switch???

Anyone else just to confirm that hot wire goes into switch for me so I don't kill myself? :P
