Stu Hamm. Virtuoso.
I've never heard "Going To California" played solo on bass before this. Now it's got me wondering what other gems could translate well to the bass.

Some more bass players:
4dWb-aCWR8U
Victor Wooten
Y5XeVLJeMdE
Les Claypool
iHPhyRyGAfc
Geddy Lee (Or rather, I should say Sean Andrews doing a very clean cover of Geddy Lee... only using this video because it shows the technical skill that Geddy has. Who cares if it happens to be somebody else playing)
yzxLVY7CxZQ
Giovanni Benedetti (crap quality video but you get the point kinda... and if you don't, http://www.myspace.com/toastmachine and listen to "Crappy Song")
Thought I'd contribute, being a bassist and all. ;)
edit: more
_qARdE08p0A
Jean Baudin
I'll add more later

i know the above mentions are more jazzy and clean in sound, but i thought a tribute to bass players should include the late great Cliff Burton.
I hope you don't mind.
