I really want the Emporers Walk from Star Wars as my ringtone, but can't find it. I would prefer to find a servce that I can buy it from that would bill me for the one song only and then call my number with the ringtone attached. Is there such a site?

What kind of phone do you have? I can make ring tones if you have a way to install it.

Did you mean the Imperial March? Most cellphone providers carry this as a ringtone.. yours might as well. :)

My brother brought it but it was a polyphonic ringtone and sounded like crap. I just use MP3's as ringtones, just upload from the CD to iTunes and the Nokia software does the rest. I would suggest downloading the MP3 but I know how we don't like to refer to piracy so I won't go there.

iTunes pissed me off bad. It let me download the song and convert it to a ringtone, then I couldn't figure out how to get it to the phone. I checked iTunes help and in bold letters it said:
iTunes Ringtones are only compatible for the iPhone!!!!!!!
I have the Kyocera E2000. I spent over 2 hours reading through the manual. This is my first cell phone

You should be able to upload to the phone using the bluetooth if you have a computer that has a bluetooth connection. Another thing you should be able to do is using a microSD you should be able to upload the song into the card using a card reader then plug it into your phone. But with this option you might have to copy the mp3 from the card to the phones internal memory. My Dash can play anything I have on the card in Media Player but I can't select songs from the card as the ringtone unless I move it to the phone. I'm assuming its because the songs can change on the card so easily. You could even invest in a USB cable. I was looking on ebay and the cable looks like a standard miniUSB to USB cable so if you have any digital cameras that fit. According to the user guide you don't need extra software if you put the phone in "Mass Storage mode". But that will only let you upload to a microSD card.
Hope any of this helps and most of it hasn't been answered seems I was posting and researching at the same time.

I put a song on the card, but I still have to figure out how to move it to the phone's internal memory. Then I'll try
I've conquered every other technology I've come across, I'll conquer this one too.

Yeah it can be a trick and blue tooth has been severely gimped by most carriers now, I can't seem to transfer squat via bluetooth any more.

I can get my Dash to Sync most of the time with my computer, but I really had it going good between my Razr and my Palm Pilot. I could write all my text messages on the palm and send them out through bluetooth. But for the most part all I ever use the bluetooth for anymore is the hands free. Haven't tried with GPS and such yet.

Don't transfer the ringtone to the phones memory. You will severely lag up the phone. Leave it on the card and just go options/use/set as ringtone.
Pretty simple.. I use nero wave editor to edit the MP3, and then bluetooth it to my phone. (Sony Ericcson W300i).

As far as I know all you need is a data cable for the particular phone, and the right software. Its not hard to find you just have to look for it. You can download ringtone packs also.

My phones memory card shows up as a USB device in my computer when I plug it in via USB. That's how I transfer files. For reference I have a Nokia 6300.

The store I got the phone from doesn't sell data cables there, so I bit the bullet and downloaded it onto the phone directly from US Cellular. It was $3.00

Then I have to get it on to the phone. I don't know how....
When you plug the phone in via the USB cord, it will come up as a removeable disk drive.. just like a flash drive. OR... if your phone has bluetooth, get a dongle, and transfer it that way. That's simple as well. You'll connect to the phone's file transfer service, an explorer window will open, and you can drag and drop from there.

There lies the problem. The phones don't come with the USB cable....
I bought one for $10 online, but I'm still waiting for it.
