TO ALL REGULAR MEMBERS:
You will be banned forever from this forum if you report a SPAM post.

well not really, but now that I have your attention, please do get the point that if you see a spam post, you can bet someone has already reported it. Please refrain from filling my freakin' INBOX with notifications.
Those members who report the most will be dealt with severely. NO SOUP FOR YOU!
All ONE PERSON has to do is respond to the SPAM thread with: REPORTED This will help prevent every member online from nuking my inbox. (hopefully...I trust that you people are fairly bright)
(and as i write this, yet another report comes to my INBOX...thats 23 so far.)
Thanks!
-The Owner.

uh, why don't you just change the settings in the control panel so that admins don't receive the reports?.....and take your blood pressure medicine ;)

I use the notifications but generally by the time I get there it's already handled.

fine, if my community spirited sig is so irritating then I'll lose it. Gripers!
Another way to avoid the multiple reports
hide post on report (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?p=1297789#post1297789)

relax, take a chill pill. I'm not upset, just messing with ya.
I don't use the spam reports. I'm primarily here when it's slow at work.. which is admittedly, most nights that I work. I check in every so often to see who recently registered and new posts. EVERYTIME I see a new member, I check them out. If they have a sig (and if it's linked to something, where does it go?), known spammer IP addresses, google their username to see if they're causing trouble on other forums.. etc.

I was kidding too, not really mad. But I am aware of the irritability of the sig and have myself clicked on the "dead space" taking me to FRAPPR so I've been meaning to change it anyway.

Reporting E-mails us.. which is fine. Just reply to the thread that you've reported it, so everyone sees it. This will alleviate subsequent reports.

Hey, you wouldn't happen to have the shipload of spambots who invariably list their nation as Afghanistan and birthday as 1 January 1980? Another vB forum I'm on got those for a couple weeks, but they seem to have subsided now... was getting ready to change the security question.

Want to bet? While one thread might get a reply and a report.... the bots don't normally post once..... the last one posted in several threads.

I know.. that's why when I'm banning someone, I also look at every post they made, and get rid of it.

In all seriousness, Crimson is right about the reporting being un-necessary. In almost every case that I have used the email report to find the spam it's already gone. The mods here are fabulous at nailing spam quickly so in most cases I would just ignore it rather than post or report. Unless you see a post that has clearly objectionable material it's probably safe to assume it will be soon removed. But we do appreciate your protectiveness of the forums folks.

So let me get this straight:
Your mad because we are trying to help you clean up your own forum?
JK , I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself.
Anyway, I've reported a few, but I guess I forgot how attentive you guys are. I'll leave that button alone (unless I'm particularly offended by something).
