Hey guys:

I've lurked here for a bit, just to get a feel for postings and such. You guys are the epitome of creation and fantastic personalities. But enough with the flattery.

Does anyone have an Apevia X-Telstar case fully cable managed? Mine is quite a mess, and I'm thinking about going in and fixing it up, but I'd like to get some visuals. I'll post some pics if asked, but it really is an ungodly horrible mess. :D

I dont have that case but there are standard to a point.

Run your power wires down the back side of the cd/hd cage and zip tie to the holes in an unused bay. Basicly i stick all my extra wires there, taking some care so i dont have a rats nest back there.

Zip ties are your firends!

My Ultra Aluminus is fairly similar... as J-Roc said, zipties and twist-ties (from packaging or garbage bags) are excellent. I mounted my hard drive facing outward, with the connectors toward the non-windowed side of the case, and ran the IDE and power cables around behind. The x1600Pro I ran for a while needed an extra power connector so I ran that down as well and stuck it through a hole in the side of the HDD bays.

It was rather dusty at this point, and the various stuff plugged into the motherboard keeps it from being a "clean" wiring job, but I'm pleased with the HDD installation.

Yah, that right there looks about like mine, only slightly less messy. I pulled it apart today to dust, and I don't like the inner layout at all. Very disappointing for such a massive(ly expensive) case.

Wait, they want USD$159 for it? Wow... just, wow. The Aluminus has an identical chassis, with different panels, and retails for half that regularly... I got it for $30 after MIR. No fans included, and no spot for a top exhaust... but still.

Nice case, at least.

I'd also suggest running power/fan wires inside the horizontal structural bar underneath the PSU - I hid my exhaust fan wires that way, since access behind the motherboard tray is more limited than on most cases. The handle on the top of the removable mobo tray is useful for wrapping things around as well.

Here's mine. Its actually better then it looks, everything is tight to the back of the case and airflow is not impeeded.
