In amberella's "Lotus Blossom" mod I saw that she was bonding the plexi together and that got me curious about how to do it. So, how do you join pieces of plexi? Plain old superglue?

hello, straight to the point its not regular super glue or atleast it wouldnt work very well there is a specific sort of glue that reacts with the acrylic and pretty much melts them together besides the fact if u were just to "glue" a acrylic case together it may not be very strong so u are always better making a frame and working off that or atleast brackets. as for the name of the special glue i know ur gonna ask unfortunately i cant remember the name lol maybe someone else will. anyway best of luck SaWBLaDe.

Definately not superglue. It "frosts" when applied to plexi/acrylic.

I believe it's not glueing it together, but rather, like your title indicates, that it is bonding together, like whatever substance you use to join them (Which is not just regular superglue) makes one piece sort of become part of the other. Our good friend Google can probably help you more, though.

it's called Methyl Methacrylate (http://www.rplastics.com/weldon3.html) liquid adhesive--A clear water-weight liquid that basicaly melts the two surfaces and then evaporates very quickly to form the bond. Its commonly used in a small bottle with a hypodermic type needle dispenser (http://www.rplastics.com/applicator.html). ;)
