Q6600 @ 4201MHz!

well i am happy to say i got my quad to 4.2GHz!

i was putting some iodine in my loop when i noticed there was white crap floating in my T line so i decided to drain my loop and see whats going on.

here is what i found in my water block...

after cleaning it out with vinegar (ran it in the loop for 20 minutes or so) i hooked the system up to the tap and ran it for 2 minutes or so and got an idea, why not run the pc off the tap water :) i normally try to not waste water but i couldn't help it.

and the result? 4.2GHz!

i wanted to shut it down asap so i never got a screen shot of the temps with 4.2GHz but i did with 4.1GHz below.

and once i can come up with the money i might get a E8600 and aim for 6GHz in the same manner. what a chip that 8600 is.

Heh, currently can't compete with that, I'm not overclocking my chip any more since I can't afford to replace it if it breaks.
