Anyone ever seen these things (http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/speakers/6bd8/) in action? If so, how do they work?

And more to the point, how well do you think they would work if mounted to, say, a glass case window? Eh, eh?

How cool would that be? Turn your case window into an active speaker!

Sounds awesome! I have used microphones which work in much the same way, you just stick them to the wall and they record the whole room!
I expect that to get good quality out of them you would need quite a few. And you would need to have some type of felt or foam between the window and the metal frame to stop buzzing etc.
I have normal speakers in my window....
