Hey guys,
Ignore my other Barbie thread :D I decided to try something different so here it is:

I have a Dell Demission 2400 (P4 1.8GHz 798MB, X1300) now I would like to turn it into a HTPC or just something that would connect to the big screen in the living room but dell case are awful looking and I don't have those case modding skills so I have planned is:

Buy a new case from newegg but does anyone how would I solve the problem with the heatsink and power cable?

thank you.

You actually mentioned the only 2 things that I was going to mention.

Dell uses a heatsink design that bolts through the mobo to the board tray, so you'll need to put a new heatsink/fan combo on there, which isnt a bad idea anyways, since you could put a nice quiet one on there for an HTPC.

Second, the Dell power supply is standard design, but some of the older ones use a different pin out design. You should be able to swap the dell system into another case with little to no issues, and just add a new heatsink/fan combo.
