wonder what you guys think about a case with this deisn on it.

i think that it would be a very good idea. i have no idea how to do it or how it could be done but i have seen some other models. the way that the lego model was made i think was good and would be a good way to make the effect of the water cube.

tell me what you guys think and how you think it would be done

It is a really interesting effect.
You could probably take some aluminum flat bar or rod and, arrange it in a loose octagonal, or hexagonal patterns. Fasten it all down. Then place thin plexiglass on top of your pattern, clamp the plexiglass to your aluminum frame. Then use a heatgun to soften the plexiglass allowing it to droop into a bubble shape.

Yea, I think the easiest way to go about it would be to measure the side window opening,
and measure the width of the flat bar to determine what size the frame needs to be.

Make a square frame with Aluminum flat bar, and L-Brackets, that can be attached to
the inside or outside of your side panel. Then proceed to attach the patterns made with aluminum rod to the frame.
I would suggest you use rods instead of something flat or it may ruin the bubble effect.

You could use JBWeld (http://jbweld.net/products/index.php) or one of these Propane Torch Kits (https://www.choiceaccessories.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=59131)
to attach the aluminum patterns to the frame.

Inless you know someone who can tac it all together, that would be best.
You could probably find someone local that does custom welding jobs.

I had a thought on this. It does a slight bubble texture to it maybe someone could make hex stone shape resin pieces like the scrabble ones from this site

It would give that slight bubble look, alter any lights behind it like the cube, and maybe you could even color them with some dye or uv paint.
