An Xbox 360 Elite Laptop built from scratch by Ben Heck.
The laptop offers a 120GB hard drive, the new 65nm CPU,
a special direct DMI-to-DVI connection, and 17-inch LCD screen.
Plastic engraving material was used as the skin.

You can also see the lid latch open button,
disc eject, IR sensor and the small controller sync button.
A audio amp, and webcam were also incorporated into the design.

A small connector is added so the keyboard can be
attached/detached from the base of the unit easily.

That's the second one I've seen...there was another one that went along with the 360 lines and colors. It's still cool, though!

He has a total of 35 Gaming Console Mods!
Ranging from The Atari 500 to the recent XBox 360, and PS3 Laptops.

I'm at work and the pics are blocked. Does it play the games directly on the drive? If that's the case you'd think Microsoft or someone would be making gaming laptops that were just for X-Box, PS3, whatever it is they make.

My guess is that they (sony and nintendo, at least) figure that, if somebody wants a portable system, they will just buy a DS or PSP. Another 2 major things that probably hold them back are costs and cooling.

There are plenty of dorks who would bite. Better yet, if they can get the drive to except their game disks and still burn CD's and DVD's, they can just add software to any lappy

But doesn't the 360 have the IBM PowerPC cores? It would probably be more like a pre-intel macbook.

I have no idea. I still have a PSOne and N64

I have almost every system as far back back as the NES multiple times. I also have some Ataris and an Apple II. I wonder how hard it would be to make an N64 lappy.

Ben Heck's Commodore 64 Laptop.

The C64 laptop features a C64C motherboard, a Nintendo Gamecube power supply,
and special 1541-III DTV device that emulates a floppy drive using a FAT-32 formatted SD card,
while keeping true to the beige 8-bit spirit of the original.
