Google released the beta of their new web browser named Chrome. Google is using this as an open source platform to provide better application support from the browser. Using their existing Gears project, they are hoping to add rich features you would see in an application from the browser. i don't know if the world really needs another browser, but so far it seems to render pages properly and pretty quickly as well. In fact I am posting thread from it.

You can download it or get more information at http://www.google.com/chrome/

I'm running Chrome on my laptop and it is slick. as. hell. I love the interface, it's so minimalist but utilitarian, simple but aesthetically pleasing.

I love it. I will continue to dig around for easter eggs, too, as I know they're there...

There is an interesting feature, apparently each tab is run as a separate process... so if one tab crashes, it's only that tab.

"Incognito Mode"

The only thing that is missing is the little drop down arrow in the url bar, its kind of handy every now and again. But otherwise, I'm pretty sure I'm going to use this as my new browser!

Also, the ability to change the colors would be nice. Blue really doesn't do it for me, black on the other hand would be sweet!

Yeah, it works well, but isn't polished enough yet like ff3.

It is pretty sweet I must say but I was using FF3 again out of force of habit and all the extensions.
