So, in the game Spore as you go out to conquer the galaxy, you can destroy planets with a device called "The Little Doctor." This concept and name is from Orson Scott Card's book Ender's Game.

If you don't know about The Little Doctor, you can read about it here:

You can watch Earth be destroyed in Spore with the MDD here:

Did you also read "Speaker for the Dead?"

I heard a while back that they are making a movie for "Ender's Game."

Blech. There is always talk of them making a movie. I don't think it is going to happen until after Orson Scott Card dies, and then what is made is going to be a total disaster.

I've read most of the series, both Ender's and Shadow.

True. A movie would not really be effective at telling the story as well as the book did. I never got into the Shadow series.

I read the whole series.
I think if they took enough time on it the movie would come out very good.

I'm divided on the subject, I have a feeling IF it comes out it'll eiter be a good and propper film, or it'll be a Sci Fi Channel Original. As for the game, I haven't had a chance to play beyond the Demo yet, but it's neat. I've read Ender's Shadow, Ender's Game, and Speaker for the Dead. All of which I thought were great, though I've been given mixed impressions of the other books. I know that Card is involved in atleast one video game atm, so who knows maybe more games will come out with more overt references to Ender in the near future.

He did Advent Rising, which came out too late to be impressive sadly, but was a decent game nonetheless. What is he involved with right now? I'd like to follow that.
