At first they had a page parked saying they were upgrading their server now its just DEAD. WTF is going on?

My guess would be that they are in the midst of an upgrade--they had a page up as late as the 7th (well, that's the last time google cached it anyways).

Well supposedly some script kiddie found a server exploit or something and has taken down a couple sites but that doesnt make sense considering they are in the middle of an upgrade.

Dammit I love that site. I have no Idea what happend I will go and have a root around and see if I can get any news. I doubt a script kiddie would have got into Hack a Day.
