Whats your favorite hot sauces, I know we must have some adventurers into the world of hot here.

Buffalo sauce-

Definitely a tie between Franks Redhot and Louisiana hot sauce. Franks is a bit more watery and a tiny bit hotter, but Louisiana is a thicker, more tangy sauce.

Rip your bawls out hot-

Spontanius combustion is a great sauce for people go into the higher tiers of hot food. I remember the first btime i tried it, i put 3 drops on a taco and I had to throw it out because it was too hot. Now that iv'e become used to even hotter sauces, this stuff is like Tabasco to me.

Blairs After Death sauce. So far as of this posting, this is the hottest sauce I have personally tasted. This stuff is eveil, pure evil. I tapped the top of my finger into the cap and only got an unseeable amout of sauce on my finger, then tapped my tounge and waited for the fun to begin. Unfortunately i di-HOOOOTTTT OH MY GOD WAAAATER !!!! This stuff leaves you hanging for half a second, you dont feel any not at all. Then a sharp icicle of hot shoots to the back of your thought and leaves you in an amazed shock of heat.

I like Dave's Insanity Sauce. One drop for a whole pot of chili. Spicy chili. It is amazing.

Some interesting info on Scoville Units.

The Scoville scale is a measure of the hotness or piquancy of a chili pepper. These fruits of the Capsicum genus contain capsaicin, a chemical compound which stimulates chemoreceptor nerve endings in the skin, especially the mucous membranes. The number of Scoville heat units (SHU) indicates the amount of capsaicin present. Some hot sauces use their Scoville rating in advertising as a selling point.

The scale is named after its creator, American chemist Wilbur Scoville,
who developed a test for rating the pungency of chili peppers.
Via: Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scoville_scale)

I frequently use Louisiana, and Texas Pete Hotsauces to cover Burritos, Tacos.
They are mild Hotsauces, with good flavor.

I also use various spicy marinades on Ribs, and Steak.
. .and Usually load up on Jalapenos when I buy Nachos.

I have heard of the 357, After Death, and Da' Bomb Hotsauces.
Personally, I think they are good for nothing other than
eating your stomach lining, or collecting dust as a novelty item.

Though, I suppose you could use just a drop of it in Chili, or Soup.

I got a bottle of something called "Mango Meltdown". Easily hotter than Mad Dog, Dave's Insanity, Smack-my-ass-and-call-me-Sally, and so on. Fruity flavor with insane heat, it's actually a good sauce, unlike many of the other sauces out there that are all about heat and no flavor. This stuff is stupid hot, but still tastes great.. I recommend it highly. :)

Well, that is pure capsaicin. You essentially cannot get any hotter than that, it's the chemical that makes things spicy. It's scary hot, and scary painful... you would probably sacrifice most or all of your tastebuds if you took even a tiny amount of that straight (but don't fret, tastebuds grow back). Not to mention the lower digestive tract pain that would surface, if you get my drift.

Personally, I'm not a hot-foods kind of guy, but a drop or two of tabasco can lend a hand to the flavor of some dishes.

That pure capsaicin is 2,000 times stronger then tabasco.

That's just gross. Heat for the sake of heat? Whats the point? I'd much rather have something that tastes great, as well as spicy!

If any of you have a Winger's (http://www.wingers.info/) nearby, I would recommend that you go and try their Sticky Fingers in Original Amazing Sauce, and then ask for Fire Sauce on the side. In terms of spicy, the fire sauce is somewhere in the hotter range of medium. If you haven't had spicy food in a while, it will make you sweat. If you eat spicy food all the time it shouldn't be too bad. What is really amazing about the fire sauce is it's taste. It's hot and sometimes hard to keep eating for the pain, but it tastes soooooooo good you can't stop. Go get some.

I take a fair amount home to put on my homemade "Hot Nookie" burger. Pepper Jack cheese in the center of a 1/2lb patty, which is grilled on a griddle with fire-oil for stir fry, chipotle mayo on the bun, spicy bacon, and spinach (instead of lettuce). I then drizzle the fire sauce on the patty, and put it on the bun. It's the best burger I've ever eaten, period.

So, i guess you never really know how much sauce you have until you take it out of the fridge and line it up on your table in front of a precariously placed posterboard.

Daves insanity sauce. It's not only hot as hell but it has a lot of flavor. It makes Death Sauce look like tacobell hot sauce.

Ohhh prog's already beat me to it. Looks like Daves Insanity Sauce wins :o)

I bought death sauce a long while back from the wall of fire merely because of the keychain but the keychain was cheap and pretty much came broken. It waas pretty good though.

If you're eating anything chicken Sriracha HOT Chili Sauce is a must have. It's not too hot which means you can douse everything with it. It's in my opinion the best hot sauce with chicken. Pollo asada/teriyaki preferably. If you haven't had it I'm tellllling you, it's a must.

Furthest to the right or second to the right? All the way to the right is habenero-soaked vinegar. The other one isn't mango meltdown because I dont own the sauce :(
