I hope they got this version of Stalker right. The first one was so full of bugs I kept a can of raid nearby when playing it. It was fun though.

I just picked up Mercenaries 2. I have not been able to play it though. It will not start on the new sig rig... I love the commercial for it though. "Oh no you didn't!"

I've heard Merc2 is pretty good. The guy I work with makes sure to tell me every time he see's me. He kind of reminds me of that one movie, I think its called Groundhog Day? Its pretty much just like that. lol

A friend got the new Stalker and says it rocks! He also said while there are a few bugs, it is no where near as bad (and unplayable) as the first one was.

On a side note; I was finally able to start Merc 2 last night (and am now very tired). In order to play the game I had to remove one of my processors. ?!? So now I am down to one xeon 5160...

I cant wait to play mercenaries. I was all excited about Star Wars:The force unleashed....But the evil that is Lucasarts are not going to release it on pc now as they stated most systems cannot run it shy of high end gaming machines. So what do they do you ask?? they release it on Nintendo DS and PSP......When did a dual core athlon proc get bested by a DS?? Did I miss that memo. Also Lucasarts......go fall in a hole.Maybe there is fire or snakes or snakes on fire in it. Sorry for that but I thought everyone needed to know.

The Wii, for as fun as it is, is slower than pretty much every computer. I love my Wii, but my computer (which is 5 years old now) will still run pretty much anything better than my Wii can. That's a bunch of bull.

Remember, the Wii isn't like the 360 and PS3 versions. But even still, I don't buy the "PC not powerful enough" excuse. I think they're afraid of 'piracy'..... except there is piracy on every console.

I feel exactly the same way about EA and their massively stupid DRM for Spore. I probably will never buy the game now, which is a shame.

i picked up stalker clear sky and its really sweet. the graphics are amazing with the new effects. i haven't played much to see if there are any bugs, i'm still trying to find time to beat the first one. almost done it, so i'm hoping by the time i beat it they will have fixed most bugs.

Ehhh...I think I'll pass. That vid could just as easily been depicting the next Warcraft release (Not The Lich King, but the next one that will undoubtedly come out and make the game even more mind numbing). Blizzard had a decent product, but now it is a dead horse that they are beating the everliving **** out of.

And Starcraft? Same damn gameplay as the original Warcraft, just a different scenario. "Oh, but its' the story!" Whoopde****ingdoo. It's not the story, rather, it is just different colored pixels. The end result is the same--beat the bad guy (or the good guy if you've chosen what is considered to be the "evil" race).

If I sound a bit jaded, I am. I lost three years of my life to Warcrack. Missed out on some opportunities that could of had me in a bit different place than I am now.

Honestly, games like Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, Bioshock, and now Spore have made me leery of buying games as soon as they come out. Actually, I just don't do it anymore. It's a crap shoot, the game may be in an unworkable form, not jiving with drivers on various computers. It may have some draconian DRM sceme, etc. My new mantra is to wait, I'll check reviews and keep an eye out. I don't want to, but I don't want to feel cheated again (and not be able to get my money back).

I agree with you Vertigo. Warhead is buggy as **** and they weirded out the controls.... you no longer have to look at guns and pick them up, your invisible third arm does that for you. They also seem to have gotten rid of the ability to lean around corners. On the bright side, from messing around with the multiplayer, I have learned that the grenade launcher and new SMGs are kinda cool along with the shotgun being faster to shoot. Also, when you dual wield stuff you use the left and right buttons for the left and right guns, respectively (you would hope so at least lol). After the patch comes out, Warhead and the original Crysis will be just about equal but in different ways. They are like two different sodas, different tastes but still good in their own ways... except for the fact that they are soda.

A version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed exists for cell phones so it seems rather stupid that they blame the hardware capabilities for PC. That being said I could understand it if it was compatibility issues as the last LucasArts PC game I bought was terrible on a 7900GT, but ran fine on everything else up to it. Oh well, I guess that's why I'll buy the 360 version once I get paid.

I'm extremely exited, Round 3 was basically the only sports game I have ever enjoyed. Actually one of the only non shooter games I've really liked!

I agree with most everyone here. I wait for a game to be out for some time before I go buy it. I bought Spore and didnt open it. Read the reviews about only being able to install it like 3 times and the horrid thing that comes with it,DRM. It never even made it to my computer. Because it was unopened I was able to get my money back. As far as Lucas Arts go,I said it once and I will say it again.They can go fall in a hole.Maybe there is snakes or fire or snakes on fire in the hole. Thats bs not releaseing it for pc. But at far as games go between Warhammer and Fallout3 I am not going to get a damn thing done for like 6-8 months

I rented that new Star Wars game on the Wii and beat it in 3 days on normal. I did like the control on the Wii with all the swinging and pushing and such. My arms were sore for a couple days after. What was really fun was going through the game again with all the force powers you had earned and maxed out. The only one I don't think I figured out was force choke. Waiting on Warhammer here though.
