I've got questions regarding TEKSystems (http://www.teksystems.com/Default.aspx). Has anyone ever got a job through them? They've got a few jobs posted on Monster that are in my general vicinity, and am looking to get some feedback from the community here if there is any. I'm also digging through Google and seeing what I can find.

Thanks in Advance, my fellow geeks.

I've heard decent things about them, but never actually used them. To get in here, I used Sapphire Technologies.

I found only one board where others were bitching and moaning, but I can find any ten similar boards about any ten other companies. Will have to talk this over with SWMBO and see what we want to do.

Looks fairly reputable, I guess. . hard to say these days.
I would visit the staffing agency, and fill out an application.
Then call them frequently until they send you on an assignment.
If you hold professional certifications you should skip over
the staffing agency entirely, and submit your resume directly to the workplace.
Otherwise you will have to work without benefits for an extended period of time.

Allot of the job listings online are outside sales scams.
Offering free training. Which is a waste of time because you just
drive around from business to business soliciting questionable services.
I haven't done it myself, but I know several other people that were pissed
off because they didn't get paid for a days work.

Customer service seems to be the easiest jobs to get.
Just stop by any local call center, and apply.
They tend to call large groups of people to train.

I've been in Customer Service for eight years already. There's got to be more to life than asking "Paper or Plastic?"

Or "Would you like fries with that?"

Time to move on, although I did put in an application with the local OfficeMax for a managerial position. If they're willing to pay me what I want then I just might take it.
