I want to get hybrid SLi to work (the latest drivers came out) on my 8800gts and 8200. I thought it was working on its own, yet there is no icon in the system tray telling me anything that is going on. No nVidia icon, nothing. I have it enabled in the BIOS and the drivers are installed. Can anyone help?

According to their website, your 8800GTS isn't one of the gpu's on the supported list.

Also, make sure you have Vista installed as that is the only operating system currently supported assuming your gpu was one of the supported ones.

Boost Performance only works currently (according to their site) with like an 8400 or an 8500 I believe.

Save Power mode would use one of the 9800's and would only turn the 9800 off when you decide the power isn't needed (like websurfing and such).

Hope that info helps some.

I just found out, by going into the system info thing on the graphics drivers, that it is enabled; the icon is not showing up in the tray, however. This is confusing ._.

Hi I am currently also experiencing trouble with hybrid Sli. I my self have a XFX 8200 motherboard in Combination with an XFX 9800 GT (which was bought specially after i discovered my 8800 gt wasn't enabled for HSLI.) I have also all drivers Motherboard, GFX card and special HSLI drivers i found on the Nvidia website. even with double checking the bios still no Icon. I have tried to connect the display to the Igpu(onboard) but i get no response to the display. I know it works, since it works fine Without an PCI-E GFX card placed. what am i doing wrong??? ill try an Bios Update later tonight.

Cheron, a BIOS update should help, XFX knows of the problem.

Might want to read this thread also:

thanks for that link i have been on the Nvidia forums but looked over that thread. also the Bios update didn't help. i will look into the gfx card if its an old one. if its the 65nm or the 55nm.

Use GPU-Z and make sure Hybrid Sli is on the box ;)

I did check the box and they (Xfx) added the hybrid sli sticker later to the box.

I used gpu-z and its the "Old" 65nm version. but I wont be returning it. ill just run it without hybrid Sli. ( I have a change to change it out, later when I am Building a new LAN pc for my brother. I'll just make sure its the "New" 55nm that time.)

But thanks for the help.

Yours Cheron.

Finaly i can leave this at peace and move on with the Fallout Project the deadline is getting close.
