I know there are a few of our antipodean friends here, anyone use ebay?
A friend of mine here(UK) wants to buy an item but the seller isn't interested in even answering mails about international shipping.
This (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180291666165) is the item. Pretty boring to you and me, but it's just what he needs.
Is anyone willing to help him please?

I might be able to help you out. I will need some assurances that your friend is going to pay for the item and international shipping though. I don't want the book and will be rather unhappy if I have to keep it.

Am I right by saying that is the Instruction Manual from a 1979 Holden VR Commodore?
Sorry I can't help you mate, I don't use Ebay due to horror stories I have helped my mates overcome.

Nope, Victorian Railways. He's a bit of a railway historian.

No problem there. Best thing would be to wait for him to pay you via paypal before you pay for the item. That way you have no risk apart from the very slim chance of him not paying and you geting a neg. This will not happen, he really wants this book.

I might be able to help, it's within range of public transport. Only issue is funds (I have none currently).

Please add me to msn or send me a PM with your friends details so I can arrange payment with him and how much he's willing to spend. As for vouching for me, I've been away for awhile, but a lot of people (hopefully) know me here. If the item does not get purchased, the funds will be returned.

Cymae is trustworthy. She's been around a loooooong time. Longer than me, even. I'm sure she wouldn't spoil her good name here for what is probably a pretty trivial amount of money.
