My wife's birthday is around the corner and I need help locating a gift. I want to get a small tv for the kitchen. I've seen where they mount under a cabinet and the LCD folds down to reveal itself. Anyone seen this?

Nope. I daresay I'm not being particularly helpful, but maybe you could mount a webcam onto the washing machine and oven so she can monitor dinner and the laundry at the same time :P

Something like this (http://www.amazon.com/Audiovox-VE927-9-Inch-Drop-Down-Built/dp/B000OD05U8/ref=dp_cp_ob_e_title_1)?

So if you do all the cooking....its one of those "Here you are honey, I got you a 500 piece socket wrench set!" gifts? LoL...who will be using an undercabinet monitor more, you or her? ;)

Some of the reviews said the Sony was probably a better product but I couldn't find one to save my life.

Her. The 1 or 2 times that she cooks, she hates missing baseball games. She watches the games, I dislike sporting events.

If you do all the cooking and cleaning, why would you buy her a kitchen tv o-0

Are you hinting that she should cook more?

If not, maybe you should think whether she might think that you're trying to suggest she cooks more.

Hope that's at leat helpful...I don't know about her more than you've mentioned on this thread, but i'd get kinda peeved at the implication if it was me...

Maye you could get a laptop for the kitchen, then use a TV tuner to watch TV on it. This way you can get the best of both worlds, she gets her TV, you get a new computer to play with!

Laptops are a hell of a lot more expensive. Plus I'd rather have something with a drop down LCD TV and a radio option. No, I do not want her to cook more often, our relationship is not like that. When she's making fruit bowls or helping me skin potatos or doing the dishes, she needs something better than the crappy AM/FM radio we have out there now.

NICE!

That is what I tell my wife. I do most of the cooking. She is a vegetarian and I am not. If I did let her cook more, I would quickly die because of lack of nutrition... HEHE

You da man TGS!

They could, if you onnly eat veggies lacking specific nutrients required to live. You could get scurvy and the like.
