Are all processor pins made of Gold? Because I think I'm going to start recovering it from them. Do I just grab on and pull?

I don't think that you can pull them out.. most of the time when they recover the gold out of processors and chips .. they super heat it so that every thing burns off but the raw materials and separate it from there.

I know someone who does this. He purchases lots of old computer memory,
and uses an acidic solution to remove the gold from the chips.

No. they're gold plated.
There is gold inside the chip though:

See those wires round the edge? They're pure gold.

yes it is true, my dad used to work for a computer recyceling company, they super heated the mobo's ram, CPU's PCI cards, basicly anything that has a PCB or connectors on them,

All the metals drain off and seperate when superheated, the skim off what they can sell, the rest gets sent off to companies like ELG

You can smash the original Pentiums with a hammer, because they're made out of porcelain.

i never knew that, i think i might just go and try that tomorrow after work, sounds like fun,

Or i could even use the old Pentiums for clay pidgen shooting

Remember, that usually, the newer the processor, the lless gold, so you'll want to go for the older ones. Some of the really old CPUs used 24 karat gold. The Pentium Pros have a huge amount of gold in/on them.

the pentium pro's had god plated writing engraved on the top IIRC

You mean gold plated? Yeah, they're favored among many people for that gold on the top, and they're huge. I've seen new, unused pros in OEM factory shipping things (crates, stacking interlocking plastic containers, and such) on ebay that people buy for the gold.

When I was an apprentice, we used to open up ceramic IC's by dropping them on the concrete floor. If they landed exactly right, they would crack open and you could see the chip inside.

I believe so, but I think they're made of carbon, not porcelain.
