Ok, so this is my third project here on TBCS. My first project, MDF, I have left for my brother to finish, as he said he wanted to take it over. My second project, Cascade, has sort of been put on hold, because I am currently using the project as my home server.
So this project will hopefully be thrid time lucky, where I actually finish the project all in one go, without being distracted.
I will post the beginning of the worklog soon, including pictures and sketchup exports soon, but my battery is running low (laptop, i'm not a robot!), and I have to go to B&Q to get some more stuff.
good stuff mate, i like your style in the other projects, i have high hopes for it

Ok, lets start off with something that has really pissed me off.
I went to B&Q, brought a hammer drill.

After I started using it, it started to spark. So I took it back, bought a more expensive black and decker because there wasnt any of the original in stock. I got it home, and that one sparks as well.

Back to the project.
Here's a sketch export of what I have planned.

The fan holes will be a figure of 8 like hole, with perforated aluminum as a fan cover. The window will also have this aluminium as a cover. This aluminium is the coolest stuff I've ever bought.

So, the main frame and all the panels for this will be made of MDF. At this point, I wish that I was better with metal. Hopefully I will be soon. Anyway, I cut out the panels with a jigsaw.

I've just got to sand down all the panels.

I'm going to be using the same polystyrene as before.

These are the paint colours I will be using.

On a side note, I gained a really old case.

Here's the motherboard that was in there. It's a pentium 1.

Another side note. My brother has decided to modify his remote control car. So far, he has managed to paint it. He has lost the battery for it, and cant find one. Here's his progress so far.

Don't forget to check out my cascade project log, I am putting a pic of it running with some of the lights.
Check this worklog in a couple of days time. I might get monday off college due to the bad weather we are supposed to be getting, so an extra day's modding would be great.

Does anyone know where I can get a PCI-E riser card that turns 90 degrees, so that the bottom of the card is facing outwards? I have just bought a HD 3650, and it has a really cool fan and cover. I want to be able to show this, but I dont want to flip the motherboard. If I cant find one, I will have to. Could someone find me a link to buy one in the UK? I tried searching on google, but I couldent find one.

Here (http://www.ballicom.co.uk/components/docking-station/hp-pci-express--riser-card.p310029.html) is one. It was all that I could find. It is just the card, not the whole kit.
to the right we have:

and to the left we have:

Thanks so much for the link. All I could find was the left facing ones. I want one facing right to show off my Sapphire HD 3650. I think I might put some LED's under the plastic cover to bring it out better.
EDIT: I think I might get one of the flexi ones, as I'm not sure of the clearance between the graphics card and the rest of the components (mainly the CPU cooler).
I don't think I will go for watercooling, as I don't really have the money to do so. I've read that most of the kits are rubbish, and the components themselves are expensive. Whats the lowest price I'm looking at for a functional water cooling loop? Just the processor I think, as I want to show off with the graphics card cover and fan. Also, I do have space at the top of the design for a 2.120 radiator if I decide I want to watercool.
