Paint on Clear Coat?

Has anyone ever tried applying a clear coat with a paint brush? Just like clear coating with furniture?

I've never tried it but I would think it would be possible. I read an article a while back where a car was painted with rustoleum and cleared with a roller so it should be possible. I think it would go better with a roller and make sure you thin it and add a hardener if it's required.

You should try it and see if it looks bad. I have seen metal that had the primer applied with a brush and it looked pretty bad.
