Well while waiting on parts to be finished on my other current mod I wanted to start on something new. Something different. I was browsing around chatting with other members and such getting ideas as I had hit a modders block so to speak. As I sat in TBCS chat one night talking to everyone I came into some news that did'nt sit well. Turns out one of ours was kinda down and out. They had gotten kinda a raw deal from a family member and in turn it took thier computer away from them. Then to top it off he was working like crazy and was making enough cash to stay above water but not enough to build a computer. He and his fiance (who is awesome BTW) were sharing a laptop which we all know is worse than fighting over the remote. Everything started to sit really heavy on my heart so I did waht anyone else would do. I got the idea from Dave. We had TBCS charity to help out other people. Why not do something similar for one of our own. I sent some messages and emails around and finally got enough people together. So now it is in the works. I ended up talking to him asking what he would do witha case if he had one to mod again and took everything he said, scribling it all down in a notepad, every little detail. I started to work on the case.I got most of it done over the weekend.Last night I was chatting with him on MSN and he was so down about the computer thing and just had a bad day in general so I let the cat outta the bag so to speak. I told him what I was working on and that I had taken his idea and he asked what he was going to get in return for giving me the idea. I told him a computer. Project:Rebirth is for both of us. He helped me get past modders block and we are helping him to get a computer. This ones for you Chimeara

That is an awesome story. Exactly what the modding community needs right now! It's great that people can come together to help one another in their time of need.
Enjoy that new case CHIMAERA! :D
Respect. Not many would be selfless enough to do that.

Guys this means alot to me hearing this from all of you. But there are other that needs thanks in this also. Alot of it come from all of you. I am just trying to return it back to the forums. Many times have I had a question and always got a prompt answer. THe project is getting close to being done. HOpefully here soon the rest of the parts will start coming in. I dont want to name the others helping right now becasue they are worth it but I dont want to give them any bad rep or anything I.E they dont get the cash to the parts or something breaks and they have to sell those parts to replace something. You guys know who you are and I really appreciate the help with this. If you want to go ahead and post up you are more than welcome too as this is for all of us involved.

Good for you, mate. Nice to see this sort of generosity, and nearly as good to see a surplus Compaq get some style and a great new home.
