Just recieved all the parts for a new mod im making (Nes PC) and its the motherboard im having problems with.

My Intel Desktop Board DG945GCLF is booting up it seems, and as far as i can tell the BIOS is running properly because the HDD and DVD drive are botting up in the correct order. My CPU fan is also working no problems.

Unfortunatly, i am not getting a signal to my Monitor (which i know works because im using it on my other PC now) and im not getting any power (no lights are on when i boot up the pc) with my mouse or keyboard either (which im also using now so i know they work). I am however getting power to the motherboard (lights are on) and to the HDD and DVD drive, as i can hear/feel and see them working.

I have tried reconnecting my RAMM and cleaning it, no effect and iv tried checking my DMOS battery, which also works fine.... what else is there to do? please, all help much appreciated.

Can you try the ram in another computer? You can also try googleing your problem for that specific board. It's possible that it is DOA, but I would seriously reccommend checking the ram. Did you remember to plug both the 20/24 pin connector and the P4 connector into the motherboard?

you only need one 20 pin connected to the board, read the manuel, unless of course im completly mistaken, but then why would the Pico-PSU only come with a 20pin connector?

as for checking the ramm in another computer, i havn't tried that yet, but i will give it a go.

thanks for the advice

That is probably the problem, if the [non-existant] p4 plug isn't plugged in. You can buy a molex adapter pretty cheap. You could test it with another full-size power supply to confirm that this is the problem.

if this is the case though, why would the rest of my thigns power up? also, could it be that my RAM is broken? :S

That can happen with the ram or power supply. The cpu usually won't get enough of the right voltages without it.

Is it onboard video? Have you tested the PSU? Could be a single dead 12V or 5V line.

It's a picoPSU. Those are very expensive per watt. They also have an external power brick. I would imagine that they would have better quality testing than that, but you never know.
